군백기 없다..방탄소년단 ‘봄날’ 6년 만 역주행, 83개 지역 깜짝 1위 그룹 방탄소년단(BTS, RM 진 슈가 제이홉 지민 뷔 정국)의 ‘봄날’이 6년 만에 또 한번 글로벌 차트를 강타했다. 지난 13일 일본 오리콘 차트가 발표한 ‘데일리 디지털 싱글 랭킹'(12월 12일 자)에서 방탄소년단이 2017년 발매한 ‘WINGS 외전: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE’의 타이틀곡 ‘봄날’이 깜짝 1위에 올랐다. 이 차트의 순위권 밖에 자리했던 ‘봄날’이 순위가 급상승하며 1위로 직행한 것이다. 또한 ‘봄날’은 12일부터 14일 오전 8시까지 기준으로 미국, 일본, 독일, 영국, 프랑스 등을 비롯해 총 83개 국가/지역의 아이튠즈 ‘톱 송’ 차트 1위를 찍었다. 다수의 국가/지역 ‘톱 송’ 차트에서 연말을 맞아 캐럴(Carol) 장르가 강세를 보이는 가운데, 머라이어 캐리(Mariah Carey)의 메가 히트곡 ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’를 제치고 ‘봄날’이 차트 정상에 올라 눈길을 끈다. 이 같은 ‘봄날’의 역주행에는 아미(ARMY. 팬덤명)의 저력이 있었다. 지난 12일부로 전원 군 복무에 돌입한 방탄소년단의 오는 2025년 완전체 활동을 기다리는 팬들의 따뜻한 마음이 차트에 반영된 것으로 예상된다. 한편, ‘봄날’은 브릿 록(Brit-rock)적인 감성과 일렉트로닉 사운드가 결합된 얼터너티브 힙합(Alternative hip-hop) 장르의 곡으로, RM과 슈가가 작곡에 참여해 멀어진 친구와의 만남을 기다리며 희망을 잃지 않겠다는 메시지를 곡에 담았다. BTS’s Jungkook ranks 5th on the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘3D’… The first Korean solo artist to achieve two consecutive top 5 placements.

Top idol group BTS (RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook) member Jungkook once again dominated the top ranks of the Billboard charts with his solo single ‘3D’.

According to the latest chart article preview published on the Billboard official website on the 9th (local time), ‘3D’ (feat. Jack Harlow) ranked 5th on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following his first solo single ‘Seven’ (feat. Latto) debuting at number 1, Jungkook became the only Korean solo artist to have two songs in the top 5 of the Hot 100 chart with his second solo single.

The Billboard Hot 100 chart ranks songs based on a combination of streaming, radio airplay, physical (CD), and digital single sales. ‘3D’ recorded 13.6 million streams, 3.1 million radio airplay, and 87,000 physical and digital single sales.

According to the chart article preview, ‘3D’ also debuted at number 1 on the ‘Digital Song Sales’, ‘Global 200’, and ‘Global (excluding the US)’ charts. With this, Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist to have more than two songs at number 1 on the ‘Global’ chart. In particular, on the ‘Global (excluding the US)’ chart, ‘3D’ ranked 1st and ‘Seven’ ranked 2nd, making Jungkook the first solo artist in Billboard history to simultaneously occupy the top two spots on this chart.

In 2022, Jungkook placed a total of four songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as a solo artist, including the OST ‘Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)’ (95th) from the Hive Original Story ‘7FATES: CHAKHO’ produced by Suga, the collaboration song ‘Left and Right’ with Charlie Puth (22nd), and this year’s solo singles ‘Seven’ (1st) and ‘3D’ (5th).

In addition, on the latest chart for ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ released by Spotify on October 8th, ‘Seven’ returned to the top spot, while ‘3D’ ranked 3rd. With continuous success with ‘Seven’ and ‘3D’, Jungkook has firmly established himself as a ‘global pop star’.

Meanwhile, on November 3rd at 1 PM (Korean time), Jungkook will release his first solo album ‘GOLDEN’ simultaneously worldwide. This album, inspired by the ‘golden moments’ of solo artist Jungkook, will include a total of 11 songs, including the solo singles ‘Seven’ and ‘3D’. Jungkook will also hold a fan showcase ‘Jung Kook ‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage’ at Jangchung Arena in Jung-gu, Seoul on November 20th at 8 PM.
