Tomorrow by Together, nominated for 4 categories at the 2023 MTV VMA in the US, ‘the most ever’ for the group.
K-pop group Tomorrow by Together (TXT) has been nominated for two additional categories at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA).
According to the official website and social media of MTV VMA on the 1st (local time), TXT has been nominated for “Group of the Year” and “Song of Summer” categories.
TXT had previously been announced as a nominee for “PUSH Performance of the Year” and “Best K-Pop” categories, making a total of four nominations and setting a new record for the most nominations.
In particular, TXT’s collaboration song “Do It Like That” with Jonas Brothers has been nominated for “Song of Summer” category, competing against global top artists such as BTS’s Jungkook and Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, and Taylor Swift.
TXT is also scheduled to perform on the day of the awards ceremony. They will be the fastest K-pop group to perform at the MTV VMA, just 4 years and 6 months after their debut.
In addition, TXT will be premiering a new song with Brazilian pop star Anitta at the awards ceremony. The song will be released on October 13th as a track from their upcoming third full-length album, “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE”.
The MTV VMA will be held on the 12th at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, USA and will be broadcasted through the US TV channel MTV.
