군백기 없다..방탄소년단 ‘봄날’ 6년 만 역주행, 83개 지역 깜짝 1위 그룹 방탄소년단(BTS, RM 진 슈가 제이홉 지민 뷔 정국)의 ‘봄날’이 6년 만에 또 한번 글로벌 차트를 강타했다. 지난 13일 일본 오리콘 차트가 발표한 ‘데일리 디지털 싱글 랭킹'(12월 12일 자)에서 방탄소년단이 2017년 발매한 ‘WINGS 외전: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE’의 타이틀곡 ‘봄날’이 깜짝 1위에 올랐다. 이 차트의 순위권 밖에 자리했던 ‘봄날’이 순위가 급상승하며 1위로 직행한 것이다. 또한 ‘봄날’은 12일부터 14일 오전 8시까지 기준으로 미국, 일본, 독일, 영국, 프랑스 등을 비롯해 총 83개 국가/지역의 아이튠즈 ‘톱 송’ 차트 1위를 찍었다. 다수의 국가/지역 ‘톱 송’ 차트에서 연말을 맞아 캐럴(Carol) 장르가 강세를 보이는 가운데, 머라이어 캐리(Mariah Carey)의 메가 히트곡 ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’를 제치고 ‘봄날’이 차트 정상에 올라 눈길을 끈다. 이 같은 ‘봄날’의 역주행에는 아미(ARMY. 팬덤명)의 저력이 있었다. 지난 12일부로 전원 군 복무에 돌입한 방탄소년단의 오는 2025년 완전체 활동을 기다리는 팬들의 따뜻한 마음이 차트에 반영된 것으로 예상된다. 한편, ‘봄날’은 브릿 록(Brit-rock)적인 감성과 일렉트로닉 사운드가 결합된 얼터너티브 힙합(Alternative hip-hop) 장르의 곡으로, RM과 슈가가 작곡에 참여해 멀어진 친구와의 만남을 기다리며 희망을 잃지 않겠다는 메시지를 곡에 담았다. Rocket Punch, who has completed their growth as a perfected idol, is returning with their new song ‘BOOM’.
Girl group Rocket Punch (Yeonhee, Juri, Sooyoon, Yunkyoung, Sohee, Dahyun) has returned with a new album filled with diverse charms. As complete idols, they aim to showcase more of Rocket Punch’s appeal to a wider audience.
On the afternoon of the 6th, a showcase was held at Sky Art Hall in Gangseo-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of Rocket Punch’s third single album, “Boom”.
“Boom” is an album that combines the Y2K trend that represented the high teen movie moment with the subculture of the MZ generation, represented by the genre of “another world (a completely different world from the human world)”. It is their first album in about a year since the release of their second single album, “Flash”, in August of last year.
On this day, Rocket Punch expressed their feelings about making a comeback after a year. Sooyoon said, “I’m nervous and excited because it’s been a long time since our last comeback. We prepared hard with these feelings and will work hard to receive a lot of attention.”
Sohee said, “We prepared for this comeback with a heart pounding like the title song ‘Boom’.”

The title track “BOOM” of the eponymous album features an addictive synth sound with a lead-musical bassline that creates a pop dance genre song. The song has an impressive rhythm with an intense and bouncy beat, along with a catchy melody.
Member Yeonhee reminisced about their first encounter with “BOOM.” He said, “While we were preparing for the album for a year, we thought we wanted to show a bright song that could demonstrate our unique bright energy. We thought we could show our energetic and bright selves, which only we could show.”
Yeonhee also talked about the “BOOM” music video. He said, “It contains a unique and fascinating story. We become teenage stars and compete on social media, and we become heroes and crush malicious commenters.”
In addition, the album also includes “ALIVE,” a song that expresses the members’ sincere gratitude for the memories with their fans, KETCHY, and “GIVE ME YOUR HEART,” a cute song that expresses the courage of the protagonist in love with adorable lyrics.
Regarding “ALIVE,” Sooyoon explained, “It contains a sentimental yet warm melody. It is a song that expresses our gratitude for the gift-like memories.”

Rocket Punch explained their unique differentiation with only ‘BOOM’.
Suyun said, “It’s not just a simple teenage concept, but a combination of teenage and ‘otherworldly’ concepts. You can expect to see various appearances of us. Please look forward to our various aspects.”
Yeonyi added, “We also included stories about haters within the teenage concept in our story.”
Rocket Punch confessed that they have a desired evaluation they want to hear through this album. Sohee said, “Our charm is not just one or two things. I want to show that we have good appearances and teamwork.”
Yeonyi said, “We have released many albums and it has been 4-5 years since our debut. Now, we want to hear more about ‘completion’ rather than ‘growth’. We want to be called ‘complete’, versatile idols who can’t grow anymore.”
Soyeon said, “I think we have shown many different concepts and colors through our albums so far. Through ‘BOOM’, I want to hear reactions like ‘Can Rocket Punch do this too?’ or ‘They look good and do well in this too’.”

Leader Yeonhee debuted on the 14th with the global project girl group L’s Up, after making it to the final top seven on the Mnet audition program ‘Queendom’, which ended last month. As a result, she will be working simultaneously with Rocket Punch and L’s Up activities.
Yeonhee said, “The activities overlap. There was a condition to work on both Rocket Punch and L’s Up when I appeared on ‘Queendom’. We are coordinating to parallelize both activities as much as possible.”
Rocket Punch also revealed their goals for this activity. Yeonhee expressed a strong determination, saying, “We have one goal we want to achieve with this activity. We want to promote Rocket Punch more and show our stage to more people. We are determined to work hard to achieve that goal.”
