New Jeans’s Presence on the US Billboard 200 is Clear
Korean group NewJeans continues to make its presence felt on the US Billboard chart.
According to the latest chart (as of September 16th) released by Billboard on the 12th, NewJeans’ (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) mini-album “Get Up” rose to 28th place on the main album chart “Billboard 200.” With this, “Get Up” has maintained its position in the top 30 for seven consecutive weeks since entering the chart at number one (as of August 5th).
One of the triple title tracks on the mini-album, “Super Shy,” is also enjoying popularity. “Super Shy,” which has been on the Billboard “Hot 100” chart for eight consecutive weeks until last week, entered the top 10 for the ninth consecutive week by ranking 9th on the Billboard “Global (excluding the US)” chart this week. Another title track on “Get Up,” “ETA,” was ranked 22nd on the “Global (excluding the US)” chart and 44th on the “Global 200” chart.
Meanwhile, NewJeans has been nominated for the “Group of the Year” category at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, which will be held today (September 13th, Korean time) in the US.
