BTS’s Jin achieves first place in 107 countries with ‘The Astronaut’
BTS Jin’s ‘The Astronaut’ has achieved the top spot on iTunes in 107 countries/regions, showcasing his global popularity.
Jin’s first solo single, ‘The Astronaut’, topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in Ghana on September 11th, achieving the top spot in a total of 107 countries.
Released on October 28th last year, Jin’s ‘The Astronaut’ dominated the iTunes Top Songs chart, achieving the top spot in 80 countries within 5 hours and 30 minutes of its release, 90 countries within 8 hours and 25 minutes, and topping the charts in 97 countries at 4 a.m. on the 29th (Korean time), proving Jin’s immense popularity.
‘The Astronaut’ has shown its power by reaching the top of the iTunes charts in Mexico, Germany, the UK, France, and the US, and achieving a total of 106 countries’ top rankings, including Micronesia on July 28 and Niger on July 29.
Recently, ‘The Astronaut’ has topped the charts in Ghana, demonstrating its global music power by achieving 1st place in 107 countries on iTunes, with three solo songs recording 1st place in over 105 countries.

‘The Astronaut’ is gaining popularity not only on iTunes but also on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify. As of 6:00 am on September 13th, it has surpassed 237.14 million streams.
In addition, the music video achieved 90 million views on YouTube on September 7th. It currently has 90.69 million views and is on track to reach 100 million views.
Released on October 28th last year, ‘The Astronaut’ is still gaining popularity worldwide, setting records in various places even after 10 months.
On September 6th, it re-entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart at No. 14, recording a chart run of 16 weeks and showing its reverse power. It also ranked No. 1 on the “Bestsellers in Amazon Music Digital Songs” in the United States and No. 10 in the “Movers & Shakers” category, which shows the most sold rankings in the past 24 hours, on the world’s largest e-commerce platform, Amazon, on September 2nd.
