방BTS member V has become the first solo artist in history to sell 2 million copies with his solo album on the Hanteo Chart and has climbed to the top of the “double million seller.”

It has been 23 years since a solo artist recorded sales of more than 2 million copies since Cho Sung-mo’s “Let Me Love” in 2000.

V’s first solo album, “Layover,” was released simultaneously worldwide on the afternoon of the 8th.

According to Hanteo Chart, V’s “Layover” surpassed 1 million copies in just 3 hours after its release at around 4:30 p.m., becoming a super fast million seller.

As of 6:10 p.m., it surpassed a total of 1.5 million in sales, achieving the highest record for a Korean solo artist in the first 5 hours of release.

In just a few hours, he set a record for the highest first-day album sales by a solo artist in the history of the Hanteo chart, as well as breaking the record for the highest first-week sales.

‘Layover’ has achieved a remarkable feat, surpassing the highly anticipated 2 million mark as of 12:13 p.m. on the 13th, with an unstoppable upward trend. He has become the first solo artist to achieve a ‘double million-seller’ record in the history of the Hanteo chart.
