BTS’s V, 1st place in various Japanese polls.. ‘Taetaeland’ strong popularity
BTS member V has proven his popularity in Japan by sweeping various polls and topping the “Taetaeland” fandom.
From July 24 to August 5, V obtained 18,488 votes in the “K-Pop Male Idol Ranking” poll on the popular idol ranking site in Japan, “NEHAN,” setting a record of 122 consecutive weeks in 1st place.
During the same period, V also proved his solid position as a K-pop artist and actor by ranking 1st for 118 consecutive weeks in the “20s Korean Actor” category of the popular actor ranking site in Korea, “BIHAN.”
In the “K-Pop Handsome Idol” poll on “K-board,” which provides K-culture information, V has recorded 78 consecutive weeks in 1st place with 2,579 votes.
On “Kpop Juice,” a site that covers K-pop idol rankings and audition information, V boasts an incredible number of votes, with over 3.6 million cumulative votes as the daily and monthly 1st place, and the only artist to record over 3 million votes on the site.

On “K-Pop Juice,” which covers K-Pop idol rankings and audition information, V boasts an impressive number of votes, with over 3.6 million cumulative votes, as well as daily and monthly number one rankings. V is the only artist on the site to have received over 3 million votes.
Music producer Saito Aesuke, who brought BTS to Japan, said in an interview, “BTS’s first impression was thrilling and intense. When I saw a picture of V, I was convinced that he would be popular in Japan.”
Buoyed by the hot popularity in Japan, V of the drama ‘Itaewon Class’ has topped the Japanese iTunes Top Song chart with his OST and self-composed song ‘Sweet Night’, marking the first time for a Korean release to achieve this. Japanese media praised, “V’s OST participation contributed to attracting K-pop fans worldwide” and “V’s existence has given a boost to the popularity of ‘Itaewon Class’.”
Recently, V caused a sensation when his post on Instagram featuring the Korean band group CHS’s song ‘Ddaengbyung’ topped Japan’s Spotify Daily Viral Songs chart the next day.
