"Aespa, the shortest period for a foreign singer to enter the Tokyo Dome... 94,000 fans go wild.”
Aespa, a girl group, made their debut in Japan's Tokyo Dome, the shortest time (2 years and 9 months) for a foreign artist in history, and put on a fantastic performance.
On the 5th and 6th of this month, Aespa held the 'aespa LIVE TOUR 2023 'SYNK: HYPER LINE' in JAPAN -Special Edition-' at the Tokyo Dome. Not only did this performance sell out all the seats, but due to explosive requests from local fans, obstructed view seats were also added, attracting a total of 94,000 spectators over two days.
In addition to selling out all 10 performances in four Japanese regions, including Osaka, Tokyo, Saitama, and Nagoya, from March to May, Aespa proved their strong ticket power with this Tokyo Dome performance. This achievement is particularly significant because it was accomplished before their official debut in Japan, demonstrating Aespa's passionate local popularity.
Furthermore, this Tokyo Dome performance was a special edition version that upgraded the previous solo concert 'SYNK: HYPER LINE.' From the stage of their new songs 'Spicy' and 'Welcome to MY World' to a version of 'Hold On Tight' arranged as an EDM, the performance was enriched with the addition of large LED monitors, lifts, moving stages, and mobile cars, making Aespa's performance and stage even more spectacular and thrilling for the audience.
AESPA captivated the audience for about three hours with a total of 28 songs, including solo performances such as Karina's powerful performance in "Menagerie," Ning Ning's unique charm in "Wake Up," Winter's cover of BoA's "Shine We Are!," and Giselle's self-composed song "Keep Goin'" for the Tokyo Dome concert.
After the concert, ESPA expressed their gratitude, "Thank you for coming to ESPA's world. We will work even harder to become ESPA, who receives a lot of love from you."
Following their Asia tour and two successful concerts at the Tokyo Dome, ESPA will embark on a world tour in 14 cities in the United States, South America, and Europe, starting with LA on August 13th.
