New Jeans mini album ‘Get Up’ sells 1.65 million copies in its first week
Girl group New Jeans has recorded first week sales of 1.65 million copies (according to Hanteo Chart) with their second mini album “Get Up,” which was released on the 21st. According to their agency, Udo, “Get Up” sold 1,651,181 copies from the 21st to the 27th. This makes them the second highest selling debut week album by a female K-pop artist, following ESPA who sold 1.69 million copies. New Jeans, who debuted in July of last year, showed a steep growth curve with sales of 310,000 copies for their debut album, 700,000 copies for their single earlier this year, and now 1.65 million copies. They will also be performing at the large-scale music festival “Lollapalooza Chicago” in the US on the 3rd of next month to expand their global influence.
